RemarksI was lying in bed in my bedroom in the loft when I saw it pass directly over the skylight right above my head, making me sit up and follow its path. It lasted around 3 seconds. I am not sure I described the magnitude accurately, and I cannot remember the exact colours of it (and I wish now I had paid more attention), but my first thought was "Wow!" and I immediately texted my astronomer friend that I had seen the biggest shooting star in my life. He said I had witnessed a fireball. I live in Lewes and it was headed towards Brighton.
